BullyWatch Winners

Thank you, Alyssa for all that you do in representing MSU in a positive way!

Alyssa McKinley was nominated by Jess Marshall. This is what she has to say: "Alyssa has been my person that I have leaned on being a new employee here at Mississippi State. She has been a great resource for items within my job duties and even on campus and within Starkville. Even after-hours she is quick to respond to my many questions every day. I have never seen someone have so much on their plate and still do everything at 100%. She is a full-time employee, a graduate student, and is currently studying for her CIP exam for her position within research compliance. On top of all of that she takes on so many other things to help others. She is always so sweet and kind, and never gets frustrated with you even if you have asked the same questions 5 days in a row. She is an amazing asset to ORCS and I'm grateful that she has been there for me during my first days/weeks here at MSU."

Congratulations to our October BullyWach winner, Ms. Pearl Turnipseed!

Ms. Turnipseed was nominated by Michelle Latham. Here is what Michelle has to say about Ms. Pearl:

"Pearl Turnipseed is such a blessing to so many here at HPC2 and to the campus at MSU. She was sent to us to clean our building and she has accomplished far more than that. She has built many relationships with the employees and students here. Her personality to engage with everyone she encounters is infectious. She is friendly, kind, compassionate, and does her job with integrity. She goes above and beyond in her job to ensure the HPCC building is taken care of. Ms. Pearl has established the “candy jar” which she fills daily for all the staff and students to enjoy as they come into our building. She is truly a blessing, and we are thankful to have her here with us."

May Winner

All,

Please help congratulate Jess Marshall as June’s BullyWatch Winner!

She was nominated by Alyssa Mckinley. Here is what Alyssa has to say:

“Jess Marshall exemplifies what it means to be an outstanding employee, making her a prime candidate for the Bully Watch winner. Since joining Mississippi State University a year ago, Jess has taken charge of the compliance area for the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC). Her dedication ensures that all animal research is conducted ethically, adhering to the highest standards of care and regulatory requirements. Jess's contributions extend beyond her professional duties. She brings a touch of warmth and generosity to the office by sharing the fruits of her labor from her personal garden and farm. Colleagues eagerly anticipate her fresh squash and eggs, which she brings in regularly. This gesture not only reflects her nurturing personality but also fosters a sense of community and camaraderie among her peers. Jess's ability to balance her demanding role while maintaining such a generous and caring nature is truly remarkable.” – Alyssa

Pam Wasson nominated Tyrunda Poole for the July 2023 BullyWatch Winner! This is what she says: "I received what I thought was a ticket. I am on the verge of tears when I entered Parking Services' office. Ty calming told me it was a warning and that I still had my old car listed. She took my old car off and corrected the matter quickly and calmly. She was just the nicest to a upset customer, Me."Tyrunda Poole

Shawna Johnson nominated our August 2023 Winner! Shawna says this about Ms. Neely: "Ms. Amanda Neely goes above and beyond cleaning and sanitizing our buildings (we have a ALOT of buildings) here at Sustainable Bioproducts. She comes in the early mornings (while we are still asleep) to get a jump start on cleaning each office and classroom, so she will not be in the way. I know it is so hard to keep our buildings looking and smelling clean and she is doing a fantastic job. We want her to know that the department does notice the little things she does and we thank her for her hard work and dedication to our department as well as the university."

Amanda Neely

Thank you, Transportation – Enforcement Officers! Your hard work does not go unnoticed!

The Transportation – Enforcement Officers were nominated by Anna Webb.

“The enforcement officers on campus truly do not receive the respect and appreciation they deserve, often facing disrespect while carrying out their duties diligently. Their main responsibility is to ensure smooth traffic flow and enforce parking regulations set by the university, but they go above and beyond by assisting students, faculty, and staff with car issues, helping navigate campus, handling special requests, reservations, managing game day traffic, and assisting with ADA requests. This group is truly exceptional, and I am grateful to have them as a part of my work family.” - Anna
